5 Tips for natural skin care and to help you relax

Ever thought of what it really means to practice natural skin care.

Relaxing is a good way to keep the skin beautiful and glowing and would certainly help avoid premature aging and conditions like Rosacea. Rosacea triggers include alcohol, hot or spicy foods, emotional stress, and heat.

For a while I wondered if there there are certain relaxation techniques that can greatly improve my skin’s appearance and help keep me healthy.

Here are my top 5 tips that you can follow to relax your skin, practice natural skin care and in turn help restore or keep its beautiful glow:

1. Use a cold compress and let your face rest.

There is nothing more wonderful than a dab of cold cloth or an ice compress placed on your skin as you relax. You don’t have to do anything – just lay there and soak in all the comfort. This simple face relaxation technique can diminish dark circles around the eyes. It also improves oxygen supply and blood circulation. Do this regularly and you can get rid of the toxins that may be present in the skin. Spend 20 minutes relaxing this way and you’ll definitely see the results in just a short time.

2. Enjoy a spa skin service

Head to the spa and ask them for even the simplest facial procedure. That should be enough to clean your face and relax it at the same time. If time or money won’t allow you to do this, don’t worry. There are many ways you can have a facial at home. There are several inexpensive yet effective beauty products that you can buy from stores and use at home. Specifically, look for mud packs and facial masks. Use them as directed and treat your skin to a wonderful surprise.

3. Give your face a massage

A facial massage can do wonders on your facial skin. As a matter of fact, this is the secret to keep it glowing. Doing this is simple. With your favorite cream, stroke your face gently, from the forehead down to the cheeks, going towards the neck. Then repeat backwards, this time starting from the neck all the way up. Do this for several minutes until your face feels a little warm and somehow tingles. Don’t massage too hard though. Light touches are sufficient.

4. Breathe in and breathe out.

If you don’t know how important proper breathing is for a healthy skin, now you do. Remember that oxygen is vital in keeping your complexion fresh and rosy. Oxygen can boost blood circulation all over the body. This tip is also great way to help relieve stress.

5. Try yoga

That’s right, yoga for your skin.

There’s what is know as face yoga techniques and they can very much help you relax and achieve beautiful skin. If you do this right, you may even skip the facelift procedure altogether. Make some facial expressions that would naturally stretch out the muscles of your face. It’s a great natural skin care technique and will help in making you look younger and more beautiful. Do them in front of the mirror to make it more fun.

If you want to go one step further, try what is referred to as Yogic Facial Massage and this is an amazing way to stimulate facial nerves in the process help your body and face relax and help your skin in a natural way.

What is recommended by one of the Yoga Institutes is a technique that involves the following:

  • Gently and firmly massage your forehead starting from the center until you reach the temples.
  • Pinch (gently) your eyebrows along their length and do this 3 to 4 times.
  • Do a circular motion massage around your eyes.
  • Then using outward strokes massage your cheeks.
  • With your head looking upwards, massage your neck using strokes in an upward direction.

I have used cream to help in the past, but you don’t really need to and just a gentle massage would be fine.

Got to go, hope we can all enjoy looking after our skin in as natural a way as possible. Skin care doesn’t necessarily have to include super expensive bottles of stuff and maybe using both cream and natural skin care tecniques it will help keep us all looking bright and fresh.
